Ancient Wars: Sparta is a real-time strategy video game released in April 2007. It was developed by World Forge, published by Play Ten Interactive, and distributed by Eidos Interactive.

The player has the ability to research and create weapons with which to personally equip his warriors. This, however, makes each unit relatively expensive. However, when the opponents' warriors die, they leave their equipment on the battlefield, and the player's workers can collect them. These weapons can then be used by the player to equip their own army. Collected weapons have no cost when building a unit utilising that weapon.
There are three types of infantry. Light, Medium, and Heavy. Light infantry (psiloi for the Spartans, Nubian mercenaries for the Egyptians, kara warriors for the Persians) are lightly armored and fast. They are ideal for being ranged units. Medium infantry (spartiate for Sparta, mighty nadsez for Egypt and nobles for Persia), are medium armored and are good as both ranged and melee fighters. Heavy infantry (hoplites for Sparta, Pharaoh's guard for Egypt and Immortals for Persia) are heavily armored and slow, but are deadly when used as melee.
All infantry (excluding heroes) are built either at the barracks or archery range. Before building a unit, the player must choose which items are to be equipped to that unit. There are 8 slots for customization, and a variety of weapons and shields. Most have to be researched before being equipped to the soldiers.

The game consists of three campaigns centered around ancient civilizations: Sparta, Egypt and Persia. Each campaign for every nation is divided into nine missions.
The Spartan campaign: The story starts with Pausanias (relative of Leonidas, king of Sparta) going after Leonidas to help him battle the Persians. After the two meet, Leonidas tells the story of how he became king with the help of his uncle Demaratus. After the story, Leonidas dies in the Battle of Thermopylae, and Pausanias takes over the battle against the Persians.
The Egyptian campaign: The leading role for this campaign is Inaros, who has had his lover taken away by a Persian leader and who sets out to retrieve her, whilst simultaneously attempting to liberate his people from the Persian Empire.
The Persian campaign: This campaign tells the story of the two sons of Darius (Xerxes and Artabuzes), who are fighting over the throne, after their father died and left Xerxes as the legitimate ruler.

Cast one of the 30 magical spells, or use one of many weapons, and watch the screen come alive with special effects including real-time lightning and shadows. The high-resolution 3D environment is fully interactive so you can read the books, sleep in the beds and more. The interface is mouse-driven with keyboard shortcuts and uses an enhanced version of the original Ancient Evil engine.

Ancient Evil

In Ancient Evil a master magician named Alaric constructed a big crypt of 24 levels. Everyone who dares to enter and survives has the opportunity to find gold and valuable items. Naturally, the player character doesn't let this chance pass.

The gameplay mechanics of this action role-playing game are very similar to Diablo. The player explores caverns and caves full of swords, sorcerers and spells, hacking and slashing monsters. The base character can specialize in either spell casting or hand-to-hand combat, and attributes improve through fighting and spell casting.

Ancient Conquest is set in the fictional days when heroes like Hercules and Zetes lived, days that we know from legendary myths. The objective of the game is to get the Golden Fleece. To reach the objective, players will have to build their navy, the legendary ship Argo, earn money while exploring natural resources, like amber, fish and Leviathans.

While playing the game, players will have to fight against monsters (harpies, medusas, cyclops, minotaurs, etc.), sea creatures (sharks, crocodiles, sea-serpents, swordfish), wizards, survive natural disasters as well as the mighty Persians and Barbarians who robbed you of your ships and settlements. To overcome obstacles you have to attract ancient heroes to help you on your quest, for their skills will help you on your journey.

I am Sly Boots, a private investigator whose office is on an artificial planet called Anachronox, somewhere in the middle of the universe. Currently, an angry client is beating me up... Wow, look what we found here! Magnussoft's new release of their Amiga
ClassiX series. We all love amiga games, however Magnussoft does not seem
to respect the old amiga coders very much. Even so little they did not
want to pay for the licenses so they decided to code a cheap menu to
launch winuae with, download some roms from the old amiga scene and hoped
someone would buy it. Bad bad Magnussoft! Making money of the work of
elite groups such as Skid Row, The Star Frontiers and Quartex. I wonder
how the developers of these games would react to this. So don't buy
Magnussoft, buy a joint and share it with us.
